We are looking to appoint a Lettings/Premises Assistant to provide effective management of our brand new school site.

 

Our brand new primary school needs a Lettings/Premises Assistant to join us from September 2019. The successful candidate will make an active contribution to the development of the new school as a first class environment for learning. This is a permanent post, initially for 15 hours per week, term time only. Please note that these hours are likely to increase as the school grows and the applicant needs to be flexible on how these hours are worked throughout the week, to meet the needs of the school and external lettings. (This may involve evenings and occasional weekends)

 

The post holder will work to ensure the security of the school buildings, carrying out a programme of maintenance work as directed by the Headteacher. As a key holder, the role will also include security of the school premises including all buildings and contents.

 

We are looking for somebody who:

 

•Is friendly with good communication skills

•Has good organisational skills

•Has experience of carrying out basic DIY tasks

•Is motivated and enthusiastic

•Is able to work effectively as part of a team

•Is flexible

 

The role requires that the successful candidate will:

 

•Ensure the school sites and buildings are maintained

•Implement and ensure security measures and procedures for the site building and facilities.

•Be the main key holder, attend to out of hours call out

•Ensure premises, cleaning, repair and catering equipment are maintained and developed in an effective and planned manner.

•Ensure that the necessary Legislative and Health & Safety requirements are met.

•Ensure the effective implementation of repairs, maintenance and cleaning programmes.

•Implement and promote the school policies and procedures relating to all areas of employment and service delivery.

Salary: £16,497 - £19,974 FTE Please note the successful candidate will have the FTE pro-rata’d down, dependant on hours agreed (ideally 15 p/w)
