Are you an experienced teacher or talented ECT looking to join an exceptional department, working with remarkable students, in an established and Ofsted Outstanding school?
We are looking to appoint a high-performing Chemistry teacher who can inspire students through to A-level, committed to fostering a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and academic achievement.
Your opportunity
The Chemistry department forms an integral part of the wider Science team at Rosebery and is proud of its long‑standing reputation for excellence. Our Science colleagues deliver both Combined and Triple Science at GCSE, and Chemistry remains one of the most popular KS5 subjects, with approximately 40 students opting to study it at A‑level each year.
The department consistently secures remarkable outcomes at both GCSE and A‑level. In 2025, 45% of A‑level students achieved A or A*, reflecting the high standards, strong subject expertise, and commitment to student success that define the team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to join a highly successful department and make a meaningful contribution to students' academic growth and personal development.
What we are looking for:
- A Chemistry specialist who will deliver joyful and challenging Chemistry and Science lessons to students of all abilities from KS3 to KS5.
- An excellent practitioner, who is confident, compassionate and dedicated to making a remarkable impact on both students and colleagues.
- A role model for outstanding teaching, committed to continually improving the quality of teaching and learning.
- Someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team
- An individual who can motivate students and colleagues alike, with a proven track record of securing excellent student progress.
- A genuine passion for student welfare.
