Please note this is a REGIONAL ROLE, working for the GLF Trust Team.
Are you an experienced SENDCo with a passion for inclusive, high-quality teaching? Do you thrive on supporting colleagues and driving best practice across schools? If so, this exciting opportunity could be perfect for you.
Your Opportunity
GLF Schools is seeking a Regional SENDCo on a fixed term basis until 31st August 2026, to provide targeted support across 2–4 schools within our Oxfordshire and Wokingham region. This role is ideal for someone who wants to broaden their experience beyond a single school setting and make a real impact on SEND provision.
What makes this role unique?
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including Speech and Language Leads, Enhanced Provisions Lead, and Behaviour & Belonging Lead.
- Coach and mentor SENDCos and school teams to strengthen inclusive practice.
- Enjoy a workable weekly schedule, combining on-site support with the option for some remote working.
- Gain experience in a school support role while contributing to strategic SEND development.
We are seeking an adaptable SENDCO, ideally with experience in both primary and secondary settings. A Level 7 Exam Access Arrangements testing qualification is highly desirable for supporting our secondary schools in particular, though strong primary specialists are also encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will also play a key role in shaping and developing our transition programmes—both at key phase transfer points and for in-year admissions—ensuring that every pupil experiences a smooth, well-supported journey into and through our schools.
We are open to considering part time / job shares.
What we’re looking for
- A qualified and experienced SENDCo with a strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice.
- Someone passionate about collaboration, coaching, and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
- Flexibility to travel across schools in the region (Reading to Banbury), with mileage reimbursed (own transport is essential).
