7.5 HOURS PER WEEK, TERM TIME ONLY! An exciting opportunity has become available to join the lunchtime team at Lorraine Infant School, providing care, supervision and encouraging positive play.

Your Opportunity

The successful candidate will support the supervision of children in the dining area and play areas to ensure the orderly conduct, welfare and safety of children during school lunch breaks. We are looking for a pro-active individual to work collaboratively and flexibly within our team, build good working relationships with both children and adults and demonstrate a respectful and caring attitude towards all our children.

About Pine Ridge & Lorraine Federation

Our School sits within a newly established cluster of Primary schools, overseen by a Regional Director. Along with Pine Ridge & Lorraine Federation, our cluster includes the following other schools; Springfield Primary School, Hammond Junior School, Lightwater Village School and Cordwalles Junior School.

What we are looking for

Somebody who will:

  • Ensure children remain within permitted areas of the school during the lunch break and intervene in any situation where the safety of a child may be at risk
  • Supervise the movement of children between classrooms, play and dining areas from the start of lunch break until classes re-commence, and to ensure orderly conduct in the dining area
  • Initiate and encourage positive play
  • Organise play activities that are age appropriate

Start Date: 22nd April 2024, this is a temporary assignment until the 18th July 2024

Salary: £21,474 FTE

Pro Rata: £3,750 actual

Hours of work: 7.5 hrs p/w, Monday – Friday 11:30am -1:00pm, Term Time Only
