We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who will play a key role in supporting the learning of our children. The successful individual will support the Class Teacher in the teaching and welfare of the children, ensuring they attain the targets set. Supporting communication, social and emotional development is integral to this role.

The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Assist in preparing the classroom-learning environment
- Assist in planning activities and preparing materials to help children access the curriculum
- Lead and support activities, indoors and outdoors to meet the specific needs of children
- Assist in monitoring children's progress, assessing achievement and recording results and observations, sharing outcomes with the class teacher

Cordwalles is graded as a ‘GOOD’ school in all areas by Ofsted (2017). The successful candidate will work alongside, support the teacher, and make effective use of resources in order to achieve the highest standards of learning and achievement.
Salary: £13,741 (Grade 3/4 of the support staff pay scale £17,322-£20,523 FTE).
Hours of work will be Monday-Friday 8.30am-3.30pm for 39 weeks per year plus a weekly staff meeting (33.5 hrs per week).
