Banstead Infant School is seeking an inspiring, nurturing and committed Headteacher to lead our happy and successful infant school. This is an exciting opportunity to build on strong foundations in a school where children are excited about learning, staff are proud of their work, and families are highly supportive.

Your Opportunity

Banstead Infant School is a happy, nurturing and forward-thinking school (with a transitioning PAN from 3FE to 2FE to meet the needs of the local area) and sits at the heart of Banstead. Alongside the Infant School, we opened a nursery in 2025 which has expanded due to demand and now offers two separate classrooms for children aged 2–3 and 3–4.

As Headteacher, you will lead Banstead Infant School as a nurturing, inclusive and aspirational learning community, providing children with the strongest possible start to their education. You will build on the school’s recent successes by setting a clear strategic direction that strengthens high‑quality teaching and learning across EYFS and Key Stage 1, while continuing to develop an engaging, well‑sequenced curriculum. This is a rewarding opportunity for a leader who believes in giving every child the strongest possible start to their education.

We welcome empathetic, emotionally intelligent candidates driven by a clear moral purpose and a passion for supporting children and young people. At GLF Schools, we strive for an inclusive environment where staff and children are comfortable expressing their own identity, should they wish, in which diversity and inclusion is of mutual benefit for everyone. We particularly welcome applicants from under-represented groups including those based on race, sex, gender reassignment. age, disability, sexual orientation or religion/belief.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a large Multi Academy Trust that comprises 43 schools (Primary and Secondary) across the Southeast of England with a large central team of talented and passionate specialists.

About Banstead Infant School

We are a 3-form infant school and nursery for children aged 2 to 7 (soon to be 2FE). We are a very well-resourced school, having the benefit of beautiful grounds. Our School sits within a newly established cluster of schools, overseen by a Regional Director. Along with Banstead Infant School our cluster includes the following other schools; The Vale, Mead Infant and Junior Schools, Cuddington Croft Primary School, Danetree Primary School and Floreat Wandsworth Primary School.

This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues across this cluster, to share expertise and experience, ensuring all children in our schools receive an excellent education and reach their potential.
