Your opportunity

The Governance Administrator will be responsible for supporting a range of governance-related activities and administrative tasks. Working closely with the Governance Manager, the postholder will help uphold the Trust’s high standards of governance by ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in the coordination of key meetings and procedures.

This role is pivotal in supporting the Trust Board, School Standards Boards (SSBs), and governance colleagues by ensuring key meetings are effectively administered, compliance obligations are met, and communication is well managed.

Your work will include:

  • Coordinating and attending key meetings, including Complaint Hearings and Board Committees
  • Tracking training and compliance for governance members
  • Managing recruitment and onboarding of new SSB (School Standards Board) members
  • Maintaining and updating our Governance Portal
  • Supporting the complaints process and refining procedures that drive high standards

You will be required to work 3 days a week (days to be discussed at interview), 2 of which will be at The Beacon, Banstead with the option of home working for the third day.

If you are passionate about high standards, thrive in a structured environment, and are looking to make a difference behind the scenes in education, we encourage you to apply.

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Experience in administration is essential; knowledge of governance is a bonus—but we’ll support you every step of the way.
