We have an excellent opportunity for an IT professional to join our thriving IT Team at GLF Schools.

Your Opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Field IT Technician to work across schools in Wandsworth, Banstead, Crawley and Horsham. The successful candidate will benefit from the support of our experienced IT teams located throughout Surrey and Oxfordshire and will build links with the Trust IT team and the Service Delivery Manager and Head of Operations.

The candidate will provide first- and second-line support in the field, working with a range of systems and users with varying skills and will need to find solutions to issues affecting all aspects of IT. This is a field-based role comprising of regular scheduled visits, ad hoc and emergency visits as required to our current and future schools.

This role will be working specifically with the following schools (Banstead Infant School, Floreat Wandsworth, Forge Wood Primary School, Greenway Junior School, Kilnwood Vale Primary School, The Vale Primary School,).

The successful candidate will need to travel between schools; therefore, a driving licence is essential. Please note that the salary offer has taken into consideration travel costs, and no additional travel expenses will be included. 

What we are looking for

This is an exciting role with a varied work stream, and we require an intelligent and enthusiastic person who can think outside the box to solve issues independently, but who can also work effectively with our wider IT and school teams. Ideally, we would like the candidate to have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role and has experience with hardware and software, including installation, configuration and deployment.

The Details

Salary: Specialist point 12, £28,875 FTE (inclusive of travel costs)

Hours: 36 hours a week, 52 weeks a year (8.30am - 4.15pm)

Start Date: ASAP
