Are you looking to join a high‑performing, supportive school where your work can make a genuine difference to students with SEND?
We are seeking a Deputy SENCo to lead our dedicated and collaborative SEND team. In this key managerial role, you will oversee the day‑to‑day operation of SEND provision across the school, shaping the experience of both students and colleagues, driving high‑quality, inclusive practice throughout the school. Your leadership will ensure a meaningful and lasting impact on our students and the staff who support them.
Your opportunity
As the operational lead of Rosebery Connect (SEND team), our Deputy SENCo will lead and coordinate the SEN provision, championing inclusive practice, monitoring student progress and working with all stakeholders involved in ensuring students are supported to reach their full educational potential. The post holder will also act as the lead Nurture Teacher, working closely with specified individuals, ensuring our most vulnerable students effectively transition between the primary and secondary phases.
The successful candidate will manage a team of five Teaching Assistants and be actively involved in ensuring all members of staff recognise and fulfil their statutory responsibilities to students with special educational needs. They will also disseminate good practice in meeting individual special educational needs across the school and provide accessible learning experiences for students with special educational needs and disabilities.

- An empathetic and inspiring leader, with a genuine desire to create a safe and nurturing learning experience for all children
- A strong communicator who has a high level of emotional intelligence
- Someone who can motivate, inspire and challenge others, to produce the best outcomes for the students, team and the school
