Your Opportunity
GLF Schools is looking for a Trust Health and Safety Partner to join our Estates team. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work from home, GLF office locations, and schools across the Trust. You’ll play a key role in supporting and monitoring health and safety compliance, providing expert advice, and helping shape a culture of safety across our schools. We’re seeking a proactive and knowledgeable professional who can:
- Support the implementation of GLF’s Health and Safety policies across schools and offices.
- Provide first-line advice and responsive support on safety matters, including emergency situations.
- Monitor compliance across areas such as premises safety, curriculum safety, school trips, accident reporting, and medical policies.
- Assist schools with documentation including risk assessments, evacuation plans, and emergency procedures.
- Analyse accident and incident data (including RIDDOR) and produce regular reports.
- Deliver health and safety training and contribute to the development of online resources and guidance.
- Participate in audits, investigations, and regular school visits.
- Collaborate with Estates, Regional and Trust teams to ensure consistent compliance across the Trust.
Please note that travel across school sites will be essential, so the successful candidate must hold a valid UK Driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
What we are looking for
- Health and Safety / Risk Management Qualification (minimum NEBOSH certificate NGC or equivalent)
- Experience of working in a Health and Safety or compliance related role
- Experience of working and supporting colleagues at all levels and providing advice
- Good working knowledge of current health and legal framework and requirements
- Good general IT skills, including experience of using compliance management or FM systems
- Methodical and thorough problem-solving approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including to distil complex information into clear and easily understood reports
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to locations across the Trust

The Details
Salary: GLF Associate Specialist - £33,000 FTE
Location: The Beacon School, Banstead OR Earlsfield Office / Hybrid / Visits to schools where required
Contract type: Permanent, 36hrs per week - full time.
Start Date: ASAP
